Abstract

One of the farms that has a great opportunity to be developed is sheep farming. The Central Java Livestock Service stated that the demand for sheep in Central Java Province has increased every year, while the existing population has not been able to meet the demand. This study aims to determine the feasibility of sheep fattening investment in Huda Farm seen from the financial aspect, namely the Accounting Rate of Return, Payback Period, Net Present Value, Internal Rate Return, and Profitability Index. This research was conducted at Huda Farm, which is located in Padasan Hamlet, Mranggen Village, Polokarto District, Sukoharjo Regency, Central Java. The method used in this study is a quantitative research method, the type of data used is primary and secondary data. Quantitative data were analyzed by financial analysis. The results showed that 1) the ARR analysis of 33.08% of the Huda Farm sheep fattening business was feasible to carry out, 2) the Payback Period (PP) for the Huda Farm sheep fattening was 3.0227 harvest period, 3) Huda Farm sheep fattening generate a total NPV of Rp 697,418,924.96. This shows that this business will provide a profit of Rp. 697,418,924.96 within a period of 5 years. Thus, based on the NPV criteria, this business is feasible to carry out. 4) The IRR value in year 5 is 75%, this shows that this business has the potential to make a profit of 75%. Thus, based on the IRR criteria, the Huda Farm sheep fattening business is feasible to carry out. 5) Huda Farm sheep fattening produces a PI greater than 1, which is Rp 2,577. This shows that this effort is declared worthy of acceptance.
